Did it!

I went three days (doesn't sound long, but try it, it is!) of my diet consisting exclusively of the two food groups fruits and vegetables. It was a great test of will power.

Here is what happened:

  • I was consistently hungry, I would eat and 5 minutes later I was hungry again. I ate so much food, but lost 5lbs.
  • I had a hard time sleeping, I am pretty sure having protein or carbs helps me sleep. I had tried things like GABA (amino acid for powerful relaxation).
  • I started getting headaches, like I use to when I was younger.

I have not yet realized what the benefits, besides loosing 5lbs were.

Slipped but back at it!

Not that I was far from my liver dedication diet, however as every woman experiences during a month,... well enough said. Well ok,.. not enough said,.. I will say this even though Ibuprofen has been shown to hurt the liver,.. ASPIRIN does NOT work for those with endemitriosis!! Ouch, I thought I was going to die,.. after the Ibuprofen finally kicked in then all I wanted was comfort foods, like Chocolate and Cheese!

Today I am starting a 3 (possibly more) day diet with only fruits and vegtables, but not together (they don't combine well). This allows the body, especially the Liver to take a bit of a break. You can eat like this for up to 10 days however after 10 days,.. your body would start to suffer as it needs carbs, fats and proteins to function properly.

There is also a tea and a flush you can do in the morning,.. but as my dogs woke me up like 5 times last night!! Grrr!! I did not have time this morning to make it.

Liver Cleanse Part two.

I did the liver cleanse this weekend, I am not sure I had the full effects as when it came to the olive oil drink, I just could not hack it, or maybe that was the problem,.. I could hack it too easily. I instead added a few extra ingredients and made it into a smoothie by adding some fruit. You are suppose to get stones with this cleanse and although I had urgency, no stones.

The cleanse made me extremely weak. This morning when I woke up to do my morning workout, I only made it through the warm up. However, after lunch I seemed to have gotten my strength back. I have also broken out more,.. which happens anytime you cleanse.

Liver Cleanse

Mentally I am starving,.. and really only because I know I can't eat right now. So far, I have only stopped eating since about 12. It has only been about 4 1/2 hours. Ugh, I want food, a nice cheese burger with fatty fries and fry sauce sounds sooooo good right now!!

For breakfast, I ate a pomegranate and for lunch I sauteed onions and mushrooms in soy sauce, no fat. I have also taken B vitamins, L-Glutathione and Zinc supplements today.

I was reading more about the liver cleanse on http://www.earthclinic.com/. There are different opinions in regard to this cleanse. One opinion stated it is best to dissolve the gallstones prior to attempting this cleanse,.. but I am still going to go with it. I have however learned Lemon juice, a tiny amount of hydrogen peroxide and apple cider vinegar is a great way to start dissolving the stones. So, I have added these ingredients together in warm water and honey (not bad tasting) and will drink this,.. along with the other cleanse stuff for the rest of the night.

What I am hoping to accomplish from this is to get rid of a few things. My skin is ok, I have occasional breakouts but I would like to take that down to null. My body seems to have a hard time breaking down oils and as the Liver and Gallbladder are the main organs responsible for breaking down fat and oils, I am hoping this helps. I would also like this cleanse to fix, well here comes a quick list:

  • Acne

  • Ability to breakdown fats

  • Depression

  • Fatigue

  • Hormonal imbalance

  • Cellulite

All right, almost ready to start the Epsom Salts,.. really not looking forward to this. But it's not about the cleanse, it is about feeling good later, Right.

LIVEr

To start off,..

I have decided to start off giving a little TLC to my Liver. For the next little while I will be researching and implementing cleanses and taking in nutrition known to support the Liver.

The Liver is the biggest organ in the body, it stores nutrients for the body and produces and cleanses the blood and aids in digestion.

I have found this cleanse I will be trying this weekend (Jan 3-4 09):

Liver cleanse and gallbladder cleanse flush

1/2 Cup Olive Oil Extra Virgin
1 Big grapefruit (2 small) (Or 3 lemons)
4 tablespoon EPSOM salts
10 drops of Black Walnut tincture
4 to 8 Ornithine capsules (Amino Acid)
3 cups water
  1. Eat a no-fat breakfast and lunch
  2. Do not eat or drink after 2 pm.
  3. Epsom salts Mix 4 tbs. in 3 cups water or apple juice and pour this into a jar. This makes four servings. Set the jar in the refrigerator to get ice cold
  4. 6:00 PM. Drink one serving of Epsom salts.
  5. Get the olive oil (ozonated, if possible) and grapefruit out to warm up.
  6. 8:00 PM. drink more Epsom salts.
  7. 9:45 PM. Pour 1/2 (half) cup (measured) olive oil into the pint jar.
  8. Squeeze grapefruit, add this to the olive oil. Add Black Walnut Tincture.
  9. 10:00 PM. Drink the olive oil drink you have mixed.
  10. Take 4 ornithine capsules with the first sips to make sure you will sleep through the night. Take 8 if you already suffer from insomnia.
  11. Lie down immediately.
  12. Next morning. Upon awakening take your third dose of Epsom salts.
  13. 2 Hours Later. Take your fourth (the last) dose of Epsom salts.
